5 Days Yangon Bago  Hpa an Mawlamyaing

 

The combination tour for the interesting sights in southern part of Myanmar, Golden Rock, Karen tribes with customs and customs, limstone caves, River trip along Salween River, Mon people and its capital.

 

 

 

 

 

Itinerary-

 Day 1     Yangon - Hpa an ( Car + Hotel )

Pick up from hotel and drive to Hpaan, the capital of Kayin state and famous for its’ unusual shape Mt. Zwekabin & nearby natural lime stone caves which is estimated 5 hours drive.  Passing through different cities and villages observing way of lives in different areas, you can make stops on the way for photo shots. Visit Bayint Nyinaung Cave on the way. On arrival check in hotel and visit  the Sadan Cave. This cave has a length of 2260 feet with many stalactites / stalagmites and a natural lake at the end of the cave. the ancient Kaw-kuncave with thousands of votive tablets, Karen villages and Mount Zwekabin. Back to hotel after sightseeing and overnight.

Day 3     Hpa an- Mawlamyaing ( Cruising Salween River Private Boat)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning visit to Bustling Hpa an Market and observe way of life. Then transfer to jetty and embark on public boat ( Thanlwin Princess Hotel ETD:1300 ETA:1700). The short voyage takes 5 hours enjoying scenic landscapes and river life along Salween River. Overnight in Mawlamyaing. 

Day 3  Mawlamyine ( Car + Hotel)

Breakfast will be served at your hotel. Walk through old colonial era buildings and view this thriving previous colonial port city with it’s old amazing colonial history and past. Take the vehicle to visit the bustling and busy Mawlamyaing Zyegyi Market. Then visit Mahamuni Pagoda which is a major temple site in Myanmar; afterwards we will visit the Seindon Mibaya Monastery, and then we will continue to a very impressive old Baptist Church and the place where Missionary Adoriam Judson has resided. The late afternoon, you can enjoy the sunset from Kyaiktalan Pagoda, known as the Kipling Pagoda.

Day 4    Mawlamyaing –Kyaikkhami-Thanphyuzayat-Mawlamyaing ( Car+ Hotel)

Breakfast at hotel and visit Kyaikhami, , a small seaside resort known as Amherst during the British era. Visit Ye-le Pagoda, which is perched over the sea and reached by a two level 'bridge' (the lower level is submerged at high tide)and continue to Thabyuzayat, the notorius Death Railway of World war II cemetery and museum ( more than 3000 graves of allied POWs ). Return to Mawlamyaing via Mudon with traditional weaving industries. Overnight at Mawlaymyaing.

 

 Day 5    Mawlamyaing – Yangon ( Car)

Breakfast at  hotel. Drive back from  Mawlamyaing . Stop in Thaton which was once the center of a Mon kingdom that may have stretched as far east as Cambodia.   Then stop at  Bago, the former Mon capital and mingle at local market and  traditional industries.  Visit pottery shops on the way. Stop by at World war II cemetery. Back to Yangon in the evening and transfer to hotel. End of Service.
